Overview
Excessive moisture poses significant risk to the fabric of any building and ultimately, the health of its occupants. Therefore, it’s essential to ensure that buildings are professionally investigated to produce a holistic diagnosis. This process is at the heart of the new collaborative JPS 2022.
This webinar will present inspection procedures, which will then lead to a diagnosis, possibly over time, following more than one inspection, which ultimately leads to informed and unbiased professional advice for the client.
The session will provide practical examples from various properties to demonstrate a range of potential issues and defects.
Leading the webinar will be Duncan Philips FRICS, who is a Chartered Building Surveyor and Historic Buildings Advisor from Listed Building Surveys. Duncan led the team which produced, “Investigation of moisture and its effects on traditional buildings: Principles and competencies. Joint Position Statement, 1st edition, September 2022”.
