Overview
Since the introduction of the Construction Contracts (Northern Ireland) Order 1997 (as amended) over 20 years ago, adjudication has been the most popular (and effective) means of dispute resolution in the construction industry. If you are a Client, a Main Contractor, or a Sub-Contractor, you are likely to have been involved in adjudication, whether as a referring or a responding party, and as a result, you are likely to have several queries about the adjudication process. Alternatively, you may be pursuing a claim under your contract and are now considering utilising adjudication.
A director of Quigg Golden, Claire McCarry is a practising adjudicator and is a member of the RICS Adjudication Panel. Claire also regularly acts as a party representative for both referring and responding parties in adjudications.
