Overview

When bidding for new work, how much easier would it be to declare that you are working with an award-winning social enterprise that helps to inspire the next generation through local school careers activities, website content and social media posts? A social enterprise that specialises in employing young people from the local community on entry-level apprenticeships, widens participation into the industry, and provides them with a Mentor who works alongside the college, and has Safeguarding, Enhanced DBS, Prevent, and Mental Health First Aid qualifications.

And what if you could hire an apprentice for the duration of the work or longer?  Well, you can!  Shared Apprenticeships is a CITB shared apprenticeship scheme and approved by the Department for Education as a Flexi-Job Apprenticeship Agency to employ and hire out apprentices to the construction industry and supply chain for the built environment across South West England.

And if you want to bring new talent in the business to nurture through an apprenticeship without course fees, we have new apprentices waiting in the talent pool or can recruit to hire out on a host work placement with you.  Shared Apprenticeships is not a recruitment agency and so we do not charge recruitment fees. Instead, we employ, pay, and look after our apprentices whilst they study at college or university and learn direct from you in the workplace.  Once they have completed their apprenticeship, we then release them into the market where they typically progress on to work direct for their host company.

The apprenticeships range from Level 2 Trades to Level 3, 4 and 6 site management and technical apprenticeships – notably, Level 4 Construction Quantity Surveying Technician.
